If you’re keen on skiing, April is a less predictable month in Switzerland. That being said, you will likely still be able to engage in snow-related activities due to the fact that Zermatt is at a higher elevation than other Swiss cities, like Zurich. Zermatt is one of the few resort towns in the world that remains open for skiing year-round thanks to Zermatt’s glaciers. Because April is not known as the best month for skiing, you’ll enjoy fewer people and lower prices.
