2) Live Aqua Beach Resort Tulkal Riviera Maya
Opening December 2021
Grupo Posadas
Just 8 miles from Tulum, Live Aqua Beach Resort Tulkal Riviera Maya places great focus on nature. Live Aqua Tulkal has 349 stylish guestrooms and suites that offer a ‘personal retreat’. Rooms feature private balconies and direct access to the Aqua Lounge, Feel Beach, the pool, and spa. With over 10 restaurants and bars to choose from, you won’t go hungry.
Live Aqua Tulkal will be well-suited for large events as it has access to the Tulkal Convention Center. Their large ballroom, which is divisible into 6 rooms, holds up to 3,000 guests, and their terrace can hold up to 1,000 guests. They also have a 400-seat theater.
3) Hotel Xcaret Arte

Casa del Patrón - the joy and culinary richness of Mexico will multiply with its offer of spaces and restaurants
Hotel Xcaret Arte offers 9 gastronomic experiences (with vegan options). Some of the best Mexican ingredients, flavors, and textures will be incorporated into the menus from true flavor artists.
Xaak - regional food with pre-Hispanic influences (Chefs: Alex Ruiz, Roberto Solís)

It will be ideal for solo travelers, couples, and groups of friends traveling together.
A stay at Breathless Tulum will include gourmet dining, 24-hour room and concierge services, an unlimited premium beverage program, daily refreshed mini bar service, daytime activities, live nighttime entertainment, included taxes and gratuities, and more - without the wristbands. 5) Fiesta Americana Tulkal Riviera Maya
december 2021
Grupo Posadas
In addition to the Live Aqua Tulkal, Grupo Posadas will also be opening Fiesta Americana Tulkal Riviera Maya in the same area, just 8 miles from Tulum.
Out of the two properties, I would venture to say that the Live Aqua Tulkal will be the more adult-friendly property of the two, because Fiesta Americana Tulkal does welcome children and has a Fiesta Kids Club.
Fiesta Americana Tulkal has 735 stylish guestrooms and suites that feature balconies. With 13 restaurants and bars to choose from, you won’t go hungry.
Like Live Aqua Tulkal, Fiesta Americana Tulkal will be well-suited for large events as it has access to the Tulkal Convention Center. Their large ballroom, which is divisible into 6 rooms, holds up to 3,000 guests, and their terrace can hold up to 1,000 guests. They also have a 400-seat theater.
6) Secrets Moxché Playa Del Carmen

7) Hilton Cancún, An All-Inclusive Resort
November 2021 - all-inclusive
Hilton Hotels & Resorts
Despite being a secluded resort, it’s still in close proximity to Cancún’s airport and Hotel Zone - just a 20 minute drive.
Resembling a Conrad hotel design, the Hilton Cancún features 715 stylish guest rooms. Standard resort view rooms are 430 square feet with furnished balconies.
This resort will offer 12 dining experiences, including 5 specialty restaurants, a health club, and spa offerings. There are 2 pools on property, as well as an 68,000 square foot indoor-outdoor convention center.
8) Senator Riviera Cancún Spa Resort
January 6, 2022 - all-inclusive, adults-only areas
Senator Hotels & Resorts
Even though this hotel is opening in 2022, it’s so close to 2021, that I wanted to include it in this round-up. The Senator Riviera Cancún Spa Resort is a new luxury, all-inclusive resort opening in Cancun on January 6, 2021. Although the newly-constructed resort is family-friendly with a water park, there are actually areas within the water park which are adults-only, including a lazy river and a pool.
The resort will have over 20 dining options, including The Pure restaurant by Paco Pérez, a 5 Michelin star Spanish chef. The resort also has a fitness center overlooking the ocean and a spa and wellness center.
9) Breathless Cancún Soul Resort & Spa
December 2021 - all-inclusive, adults-only
This trendy new Breathless resort is described as “city chic meets edgy opulence”.
The resort is decorated with sleek décor and neutral accents to offer a sophisticated atmosphere for adult travelers who want the beach views combined with the city vibes. The resort’s 429 suites include private balconies, water views, and all-inclusive amenities.
There are two rooftop infinity pools and 10 dining venues as well as 11 trendy bars and lounges, like Wink Bar and a champagne bar.
Honestly I think I’d love a stay at any one of these new properties. The Hotel Xcaret Arte intrigues me because it seems like the whole property is just an amazing Mexico immersion experience - which y’all know how much I love authentic cultural experiences! I’ve also heard that Hilton properties in the area are high quality!
